How long each kind of data is kept, and why some of it outlives your account.
The principle
We keep personal data only as long as we have a lawful basis for it: while your account is open, while it is needed to finish something you asked for, or while a law requires us to hold it. After that it is destroyed or irreversibly anonymised.
How long
Account and profile data: while the account is open. Bookings, invoices and payment records: retained for the period Saudi tax and commercial law requires after the transaction. Identity and verification records: while the account is active, then for the statutory period. In-app messages and support tickets: 24 months. Job photographs and completion evidence: 12 months. Location traces from a live job: 90 days. Crash and diagnostic logs: 90 days. Administrative audit records of who viewed or changed what: retained long-term, because that is what makes an access log meaningful.
Why some data survives deletion
A tax invoice, a payout record and a settled dispute are records of a transaction, not just of a person, and the law requires them to be keepable. When you delete your account we sever them from your identity as far as we can and keep only what the record needs. See the Account Deletion page for exactly what happens.
Backups
Backups are retained for 30 days and then overwritten. Data deleted from the live system may persist in a backup for that period; it is not restored into the live system except in a disaster-recovery event, and a restore repeats the deletion.
